The man who terrorized 'World
criminals was one of the most 'dangerous U.S. jet' the city ' Los Angeles in a state of panic and paranoia. What makes' Charles Manson in a ruthless killer?
Charles Milles Manson (Cincinnati, November 12, 1934) is an American criminal, famous for being the instigator of one of the most heinous murders in the history of the United States of America. He had several nicknames, including "Mr. Satan" or "Satan Manson," and the expression "evil" and its cruelty, made his name commonly associated with the embodiment of evil.
Murders
August 9, 1969 The Manson planned and carried out intrusion on Cielo Drive, a wealthy suburb of Los Angeles, with the aim of entering the house at the time inhabited by Roman Polanski and Sharon Tate, actress and wife of the director, 8 months pregnant, and some of their friends, including Jay Sebring, hairdresser of the actress, Abigail Folger, daughter of the entrepreneur coffee Folger, Wojiciech Frykowski, Abigail's boyfriend. The house was previously occupied by Terry Melcher, an artist and music producer who had initially expressed interest in regard to some songs composed by Manson, but subsequently refused to cast Charles as a musician for Columbia Productions, the villa became the symbol of all those who had refused. The night which consumed the murders Roman Polanski was not present: it was in London working on a film project.
has never been established whether Charles was waiting in the car or if he remained on the ranch where he lived the organization, those who physically carried out the orders were Charles "Tex" Watson (who gave the command of the Manson stragista operation), Susan Atkins, Patricia Krenwinkel and Linda Kasabian. They headed toward the house armed with knives, a revolver and a nylon cord 13 meters long. When they got there, the four cut the telephone wires to prevent them from being called the police once they enter. With the exception of Linda Kasabian, who had to cover their shoulders, the other three jumped the fence. However, they were noticed by a friend of the caretaker of the villa, Stephen Earl Parent, who was immediately killed by revolver shots Tex Watson.
going into the house the members of The Family did not have no mercy. The first to die was the hairdresser Sebring, who pleaded to let life in the Tate as pregnant, but was wounded with a revolver shot to the armpit, and finished with a series of stab wounds. The next victim was Frykowski, who was stabbed by Susan Atkins. Same fate for the Folger repeatedly stabbed. The latest victim was Sharon Tate.
with a cloth soaked with the blood of the actress, Susan Atkins wrote on the door, which had burst, "PIG" in English or pork: pork is also the term with which the U.S. is referred to in Piggies and derogatory tone to the police is the title of a Beatles song. Was written on the bathroom mirror Helter Skelter: the English expression "helter skelter" indicates the great slides of helical shape of the Moon Park, and was interpreted by Manson as "coming of chaos" and "end of the world, this is the title of a Beatles song. There were no survivors of the massacre, if not the same director Roman Polanski, who was in fact absent because at that time involved for work in England (he had just finished filming Rosemary's Baby).
The massacres of the organization is not subsiding, and the next day were killed businessman Leno LaBianca and his wife Rosemary, the two were hit in the chest with more than forty stab wounds to the head. On the wall was written "Death to pigs" with the victims' blood on the refrigerator in the kitchen and was instead written, with a mangled grammar "Healter Skelter." Leno LaBianca's body was found with a fork stuck in the stomach.
Another Manson was a victim of music teacher Gary Hinman, who a few months earlier he had given hospitality to the Family and then daring to hunt them. He too was stabbed: on the wall was traced the word "Pig Politician", or "Porco political" and these were written by Manson ordered his followers to try to sidetrack the investigation and to accuse the blacks of the murder.
The last murder attributed to "The Family" was that of a member of the same sect, Donald Shea (nicknamed "Shorty"), guilty of having denounced the organization and to have married a woman black. He was brutally killed on 26 August 1969 and his body was cut into nine pieces.
The criminal activity of the "Family" went unchallenged for nearly two years, until the attorney Vincent Bugliosi, of Italian origin, he could find after much research evidence that fit Manson. In addition, some followers betrayed him; key witness in the trial was Linda Kasabian, the girl who held the post of "pole" on the evening of August 9, 1969. Charles was arrested for what it was remembered as the Tate-LaBianca case and was accused of being the instigator of the murders.
process
In 1970 began the trial of Charles Manson. He showed up with an X carved on the forehead: then, after several years in prison, Manson himself changed the incision on his forehead and making the swastika. The process is entered in U.S. history to its incredible length: Only the preliminary hearing lasted nearly a year. Charles not confessed the murders of his gang or other criminal acts, but Susan Atkins, Manson revealed that he had planned to kill then-known names in show business as Liz Taylor, Steve McQueen, Richard Burton and Frank Sinatra, although not proof material support.
On 29 March 1971, the process ended with the death penalty for all members of the "Family", but in 1972 the state of California abolished the death penalty, and Manson and his cult were removed from death row to the prison, a sentence commuted to life imprisonment.
On 25 May 2007, at the prison in Corcoran, the eleventh hearing requested by Manson for parole was rejected. The man, 74 years at the time of the trial (42 of which he spent in prison), was not present at the hearing, but told the press by his lawyer in 2012 that it would submit on time the demand for its twelfth issue.
