the night of 16 and July 17, 1989, Luciano Iacopi, 69, a controversial businessman, was found dead in the garage of his house in Forte dei Marmi, murdered by 18 stab wounds. Suspicion falls on his wife, Maria Lugia Redoli, flashy fifties and chat, and sull'amante her, Carlo Cappelletti, 24, a former policeman on horseback. The two claim to be innocent el'Assise absolves them. But with a sensational twist, the call them life sentence, sentence upheld in the Supreme Court. Today they are still in prison, no longer lovers but continue to proclaim himself innocent.
